Recommended Item Power for Avalonian Elite Dungeons
Item Power is one of the main factors that determines how smooth an Avalonian Dungeon run will be. Higher Item Power means more damage, stronger healing, better survivability and more room for mistakes. However, every role does not need to prioritize Item Power in exactly the same way.
Damage dealers and healers should make sure their weapon reaches the recommended Item Power for the dungeon tier. For DPS players, the weapon and off-hand are usually the most important pieces because they directly affect damage output. Armor pieces still matter because they improve survivability, but they are not always as important as the weapon.
Tanks should generally bring higher Item Power than the minimum recommendation. The main tank has to start pulls, hold aggro, survive boss attacks and stabilize the group when mechanics become messy. Low tank Item Power makes the whole dungeon more dangerous.
Avalonian Dungeon Item Power Table
| Dungeon Tier | .0 Enchantment | .1 Enchantment | .2 Enchantment | .3 Enchantment |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 6 | 1100 IP | 1200 IP | 1300 IP | 1400 IP |
| Tier 7 | 1200 IP | 1300 IP | 1400 IP | 1500 IP |
| Tier 8 | 1300 IP | 1400 IP | 1500 IP | 1600 IP |
These values should be treated as practical recommendations for an average group, not as a hard cap. A stronger and more experienced party can clear more efficiently, but higher Item Power still reduces risk and increases speed.
Item Power Priorities by Role
For DPS players, the weapon should be the first priority. A low-IP weapon reduces boss damage, slows down mob clears and makes the stun rotation less effective because mobs live longer. If the group fails to kill dangerous groups during the control window, the pull can quickly become unstable.
For healers, the healing weapon should meet the recommended Item Power. Stronger healing gives the group more room to survive mistakes during boss mechanics and failed pulls.
For tanks, the full set matters more than it does for DPS. The main tank needs enough health, resistances and defensive value to survive mob pulls and boss pressure. A tank with poor Item Power can cause wipes even if the rest of the group is properly geared.
Best Party Composition for Avalonian Elite Dungeons
Avalonian Dungeons can technically be cleared with fewer than twenty players if the group is experienced and coordinated. However, for efficient and safer clears, a full party of twenty players is strongly recommended.
A full party gives the group more damage, more healing coverage, better support uptime and more room to assign specialized roles. It also makes mistakes less punishing, especially when players are still learning the dungeon.
Recommended Avalonian Party Setup
- 1 Incubus Main Tank – starts pulls, holds aggro, positions bosses and absorbs damage.
- 1 Hammer Tank / CC Tank – controls mobs, helps with the stun rotation and supports boss mechanics.
- 3 Healers – usually one main healer and two Ironroot players who can swap to group healing for bosses.
- 2 Arcane Supports – one Great Arcane and one 1h Arcane for the core stun rotation and support utility.
- Damage-boosting supports – commonly including Ironroot, Realmbreaker and Shadowcaller.
- DPS players – the remaining slots should be filled with strong PvE damage builds.
Main Tank Role
The main tank is responsible for starting dangerous pulls, holding aggro, positioning mobs and controlling boss direction. This role requires strong knowledge of the dungeon because the tank’s positioning often determines whether the party has a clean damage window or a messy fight.
The main tank should bring high Item Power and defensive tools. During bosses, the tank must also understand when to hold the boss still, when to reposition and when to use defensive cooldowns.
Hammer Tank / CC Tank Role
The Hammer Tank is a key part of mob clearing. This role helps control mob groups through the stun rotation and can also serve as the caller because the hammer rotation is predictable and closely tied to the timing of each pull.
A good Hammer Tank makes Avalonian pulls much safer by controlling when mobs are locked down and when the party should begin dealing damage.
Healer Roles
Avalonian groups usually use one main healer and additional group-healing support. The main healer focuses on keeping the tank and priority players alive, while group healers stabilize the party during boss mechanics and large damage events.
Some healer builds may swap abilities for specific bosses. For example, Reawaken can be useful for inexperienced groups because it helps recover from deaths during difficult mechanics.
Support Roles
Support weapons are essential in Avalonian Elite Dungeons. Great Arcane, 1h Arcane, Realmbreaker, Shadowcaller and Ironroot support all contribute to damage amplification, control, protection or boss-specific utility.
Supports must understand timing. Resistance shred and damage boosts should not be wasted during immunity windows. In particular, the timing around Great Arcane’s Time Freeze is extremely important because resistance-reduction effects should be applied at the correct moment.
DPS Roles
DPS players are responsible for killing mob group within the control window and burning bosses efficiently. Strong DPS makes every part of the dungeon safer because dangerous mobs die before their abilities become a problem.
DPS players should avoid starting too early on bosses. Tanks need time to generate threat, and attacking too soon can cause aggro problems. During boss fights, controlled damage is better than reckless damage.
