Find out which items are worth crafting and selling on the Black Market in Caerleon. The Black Market crafting calculator compares the cost of a complete recipe — including resources and any additional components — against the Black Market’s buying price for the finished item. It accounts for resource returns and sales tax to help you estimate profit and return on investment (ROI).
Choose the Europe, Americas or Asia server, then set your Premium and Focus options. Compare two independent rankings:
- Top 50 with base resource returns — crafting opportunities in cities without a matching production specialty.
- Top 50 with city crafting bonuses — opportunities that include the additional resource returns available in a city specializing in that item.
Each table shows production costs, ingredient icons and quantities, crafting location, resource return rate and estimated profit. Below the rankings, you can check an individual item by selecting its tier, enchantment and quality, then adjusting the production settings.

TOP50 — Crafting for the Black Market — Base resource return
Sale uses the Black Market buy price for the displayed quality, after the configured sales tax, without a sell-order setup fee. Materials are bought in the crafting city. Only profitable routes with every price at most 24 hours old qualify; freshness comes before profit. Daily bonus and station fee are 0. Quality is a conditional outcome, not a guaranteed craft; transport to Caerleon and its risk are not included.
Only production routes without the matching city specialty. The second table ranks specialty routes separately. Premium, Focus and server selections apply to both tables.
Ingredient icons show quantities for one full craft. Production cost, sale and profit are per one finished item; resource returns reduce the cost, not the quantities needed to start a craft.
No route with a complete imported recipe and sufficiently fresh market prices was found.
TOP50 — Resource return with city specialty
Only production in a city with a matching item specialty, with the higher return included in material cost and profit. This TOP50 is selected independently.
No route with a complete imported recipe and sufficiently fresh market prices was found.

Crafted equipment quality is not guaranteed. This calculator evaluates the selected quality scenario; it does not predict the probability of producing that quality.

The calculator does not know the full order-book depth. Planned quantities use your per-item cap and must be verified in the market before buying.

How Does the Black Market Crafting Calculator Work?
The calculator evaluates equipment production, including weapons, armor, bags, capes and tools. Recipe costs include every required ingredient, from basic resources to artifacts and other components needed to craft the item.
In the Top 50 rankings, material purchase prices come from the market in the crafting city. The finished item is valued using an available Black Market buy order for the matching tier, enchantment and quality. Estimated profit is the revenue after sales tax minus the production cost, accounting for eligible resource returns.
Base Resource Returns vs. City Crafting Bonuses
Your crafting location affects production costs. Without Focus or a daily production bonus, the base resource return rate in a city is approximately 15.25%. A matching city crafting specialty increases that rate to approximately 24.81%. Enabling Focus changes the return rate and can improve crafting profitability.
The calculator provides two separate rankings so you can compare base resource returns with production in a specialized city. A higher return rate does not always mean a higher profit: local ingredient prices also affect the result.
Resource returns apply only to eligible ingredients. Artifacts consumed in a recipe are not returned. Quantities shown beside ingredient icons represent the full recipe requirements, while the production cost accounts for the value of returned resources.
How to Check a Specific Item
Use the manual calculator to select an item, tier, enchantment and quality. Choose your crafting city, Premium status and Focus setting, then enter the crafting station fee and any applicable daily production bonus.
The Top 50 rankings assume no crafting station fee and no daily production bonus. The manual calculator lets you adjust these settings to reflect your actual crafting conditions.
The selected quality determines which version of the finished item is used for the sale valuation. It does not mean every crafted item will reach that quality, and the result is not weighted by the probability of producing it.
How Fresh Are the Top 50 Opportunities?
An opportunity qualifies only when it is profitable and every required ingredient price, together with the Black Market buy price, is no more than 24 hours old. Rankings prioritize the freshness of the complete price set, followed by profit and ROI. If fewer items meet these requirements, the table may contain fewer than 50 opportunities.
Market data is updated periodically. Check prices and available quantities in the game before purchasing materials: a displayed price does not guarantee that you can sell an entire batch at that price.
