Avalonian Construct Boss Guide

The Avalonian Construct is a boss that punishes poor movement and bad stack management. At first, the fight can look chaotic, but the fastest strategy is actually controlled and simple: keep the boss stable, manage its energy mechanics and avoid unnecessary movement.
This boss is often difficult for beginners because they panic, move the boss too much or fail to understand how the energy stacks interact with the boss’s damage pattern.
Main Strategy for Avalonian Construct
The main tank should face the boss into a corner or wall and keep it as stable as possible. Unnecessary boss movement causes additional rock AoE and can make the fight more dangerous than it needs to be.
One Frost player can swap to Frost Beam and use it on the boss whenever available. Slowing the boss’s attack speed helps reduce the speed of its damage ramp-up.
The general strategy is to make the boss lose its energy stacks and enter a vulnerable state where it takes increased damage. The party should coordinate this instead of randomly moving.
Phase 1: Five Energy Stacks
During phase one, the boss gains five Energy Compensator stacks when it uses Red Eye. The goal is to remove these stacks by causing the boss to fire lightning circles at selected players.
A practical approach is to assign five players to move away from the main group during the Red Eye mechanic. These players intentionally trigger the circles, then dodge them and return to the group.
Good candidates for this responsibility are often support or healer-related roles that can move predictably without disrupting the main DPS structure, but the exact assignment depends on the group.
How to Handle Red Eye
During Red Eye, the boss checks for player movement. Players who are moving at the end of the channel can cause the boss to fire Lightning Circles.
The assigned players should move out, trigger the circles, avoid the landing areas and return safely. Damage reduction can be used to protect the players responsible for triggering the mechanic.
Phase 2: Ten Energy Stacks
In phase two, the boss gains ten energy stacks instead of five. The mechanic works similarly, but the group must manage more stacks and more potential damage.
If phase one was handled correctly, phase two should not be a major problem. The same assigned players can continue moving out to drop circles and reduce the boss’s stacks.
Compensator Energy and Vulnerability
The boss loses energy stacks when it fires Lightning Circles or hits unique targets with Laser Beam. When all stacks are removed, the boss breaks down briefly, takes increased damage and becomes much easier to push.
This vulnerability window is important. DPS players should be ready to take advantage of it, and support players should help amplify damage when the boss is vulnerable.
Important Construct Abilities
Cleave Attack
The boss channels a cone attack in front of itself. This knocks players back and briefly downs them. The tank should face the boss away from the group so this does not hit the party.
Throw Rocks
Whenever the boss moves, it can throw rock AoE at players. This is why keeping the boss still is important. Unnecessary movement creates avoidable damage and can quickly destabilize the fight.
Stacking Damage Buff
The boss gains damage stacks from auto-attacking. If allowed to ramp too high, the boss becomes more dangerous. Slowing attack speed and correctly managing mechanics helps control this pressure.
Red Eye
Red Eye is the key mechanic. Players who move at the end of the channel can trigger Lightning Circles, which help reduce the boss’s energy stacks.
Laser Beam
The boss fires lasers at a target. The tank should keep the boss positioned against a wall or corner to prevent knockback from moving the boss and triggering additional rock mechanics.
Common Construct Mistakes
- Moving the boss too much and causing repeated rock AoE.
- Failing to assign players for Red Eye movement.
- Not taking advantage of the vulnerability window.
- Standing in front of the boss during Cleave Attack.
- Letting the boss ramp damage for too long.
- Using defensive cooldowns after the damage has already landed instead of before.
Construct Caller Checklist
- Tell the main tank where to face and hold the boss.
- Assign players to trigger Lightning Circles during Red Eye.
- Confirm Frost Beam or attack-speed reduction if used.
- Call damage reduction for players moving out.
- Call burst damage when the boss becomes vulnerable.
- Remind everyone not to move the boss unnecessarily.
