Starter Tank Set – Group Dungeons
The tank set for group dungeons is the cheapest PvE set you can play with, as most of the items are either artifact-free or come with inexpensive artifacts. Playing as a tank only requires focusing on generating threat on mobs, which essentially means spamming the (Q) key as much as possible. If you use the defensive abilities of your entire armor set in sequence, there is no way you won’t be able to hold aggro on every mob. If you unlock the Elder Trapper and have already reached level 50 in your base specialization, you can easily tank T8 group dungeons in a 4.2 set..
Soldier’s Helmet grants us a few seconds of invincibility. Typically, when playing as a tank, we use it when our health is low or when we need to withstand heavy damage from a boss.
Guardian Armor reduces the damage dealt by enemies around us. We use it as soon as we gather a group of mobs in the dungeon.
Guardian Boots increase maximum health and slightly boost our movement speed. We always use them at the start of gathering mobs. It is recommended to use them again when we have over 80% health, as using them at low health might make it difficult for our healer to keep up with the healing.
Incubus Mace is the best weapon for a tank in PvE. It reduces both the damage and the health of enemies. With this mace, group dungeons are completed the fastest.
Sarcophagus is the best shield for group PvE in terms of price-to-quality ratio. It increases our defense and threat generation toward mobs.
Lamb Sandwich increases our maximum health for 30 minutes.
The Minor Poison Potion deals damage, but for a tank, it also serves as an additional tool for pulling mobs.
