Clarent Sword with Facebreaker for Solo Dungeons and Avalonian Roads
Clarent with Facebreaker is one of our favorite sets. It guarantees smooth and fast clearing in solo PvE like solo dungeons and green chests on Avalonian Roads. It is the best sword in terms of price-to-quality ratio. However, for Avalonian Dungeons and group PvP battles, the Carving Sword is taken instead. The set for playing Avalonian Dungeons can be found here. This equipment setup can also be used with other melee weapons.
Players who are just starting their adventure with swords or lack funds for a full set can begin with the starter sword set.
Overview of the items in our loadout for solo dungeons and Avalonian Roads.

Clarent like any other sword, generates charge stacks with each basic attack, which increase our mobility and basic attack speed. Additionally, it has 3 effects that depend on the number of charge stacks generated. In terms of price-to-damage ratio, this artifact sword performs very well at every stage of the game. It’s also worth mentioning that it is viable in group PvP battles.

Facebreaker Shield enhances every type of defense and attack without any negative effects. It is a shield suitable for both PvE and PvP. Replacing the Facebreaker with a Muisak significantly increases skill costs, while replacing it with a Tomb Candlestick weakens our defense as much as it strengthens our attack.

Royal Helmet stuns and deals damage. It allows for the immediate interruption of the entire group of enemies’ skills. When mobs in solo and group dungeons use many spells, the Royal Helmet increases our survivability. It can save us when our health is low. Using the „barrel” ability provides us with the time needed to retreat.

Stalker Jacket is an excellent choice for a melee DPS character. It deals significant damage and doesn’t drain our health like the Specter Jacket. As an artifact, it has better base stats than regular jackets.

Royal Sandals increase mobility and damage at the cost of reduced defense. The Facebreaker in the off-hand balances this negative effect. The more damage bonuses we have, the faster we clear dungeons and the more we earn.

Thetford Cape is the best cape for solo dungeons. It deals damage to multiple targets every 15 seconds and helps gather larger groups of mobs.

Blackbog Clam Soup is essential when we run out of mana while clearing a solo dungeon. This soup increases both mana and health regeneration. It is food for advanced solo dungeon players. It allows us to replace mana-regenerating items with items that increase damage dealt.

Minor Poison Potion deals damage to enemies and reduces their resistances. In dungeons, it is used on bosses at chests and heavily armored enemies.
Possible budget alternatives
Facebreaker can be replaced with a regular Shield, Caitiff Shield, or Sarcophagus. If we specialize in these alternatives beforehand, the positive effects of the Facebreaker will be greater.
Royal Helmet can be replaced with any Cowl with a chosen secondary ability.
Royal Sandals can be replaced with regular sandals without an artifact and with a chosen secondary ability.
Blackbog Clam Soup can be replaced with Murkwater Clam Soup or Greenmoor Clam Soup. If we don’t have mana issues, Cabbage Soup is sufficient, and the most budget-friendly option is Wheat Soup.
